Invoicing Improvements
Pick Up Project Billing Where You Left Off
Moving to Stackd from another system? You can now record invoices issued in your previous software on projects that are still in progress, so billing picks up in Stackd right where it left off.
- Go to Invoicing → Project Billing, open a project, and find the new External Invoices section.
- Select Add and enter the invoice number, issue date, total and amount paid. Stackd calculates the outstanding balance.
Sage Invoice Export
You can now export invoices as a Sage Accounting Quick Entries CSV, alongside the existing QuickBooks CSV. Select your invoices, choose Export, then pick the format in the Export Invoices pop-up.
Show Fee Estimate on T&E Invoice PDFs
Time & Expense invoice PDFs can now show the project's fee estimate. The label is configurable (default "Budget"), and a setting controls whether the option is turned on by default.

Attach Additional PDFs to Invoice Transmittals
Attach PDFs from your computer when you send an invoice transmittal, alongside the invoice Stackd generates. You can also quickly add PDFs from expenses, payments and subconsultant invoices, which now all support PDF uploads.

Quality of Life Updates
Export timesheets to PDF: Select Export PDF on the Timesheets page to download the selected period as a PDF. Learn more here: https://user-guide.stackdsolutions.ca/using-stackd/time-and-expense/time-logging/
Rich text editor improvements: Add background colours to table cells, use clearer labelled border and background icons, align tables, images and other elements, and set text vertically in table cells.
Projects and Documents
Configurable Project Setup Tasks
You can now set up two initial project tasks instead of one. Each task can be created automatically when a project is created or moved to In Progress, and has its own title, description, due date and assignee, so you can match them to how your firm kicks off a project.
Closing Comments on Design Reviews
Add a closing comment when you complete a design review, so the outcome is recorded with the review. Select the arrow beside Mark as Reviewed, then choose Mark as Reviewed with Comment.
Vertical Headings in Proposal Hourly Fees
In Hourly Fees, now you can tick “Vertical Headings” to display the role column headings vertically. This keeps larger proposals with many roles readable.
